Biography taken from official Indy Eleven bio (with minor edits):

Indy Eleven expanded its Technical Staff on November 11, 2013, with the addition of former Major League Soccer veteran and rising coaching talent Tim Regan as the club’s first-ever assistant coach.

Regan joined Indy Eleven at just 32 years of age, with an already impressive list of credentials both on and off the field of play. The native of Orland Hills, Ill., enjoyed a decorated four-year career at Bradley University before being selected in the Second Round of the 2003 MLS SuperDraft by the MetroStars, coached then by future U.S. and Egyptian National Team Manager Bob Bradley. Regan would appear in 81 regular season contests across six seasons in North America’s top flight with MetroStars (2003-05), Chivas USA (2006), New York Red Bulls (2007) and Toronto FC (2008).

“The opportunity to be a part of the Indy Eleven family is very exciting. To see such a buzz about the team – without a team even existing yet – is spectacular in many ways,” Regan said. “Working with Juergen Sommer, Peter Wilt, and the rest of the staff and an owner like Ersal Ozdemir is going to be a great experience. There will be so many positive things coming out of this organization in the upcoming years and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it.”

Regan’s one-game stint on the field with Toronto FC in 2008 marked the official end to his playing career, but his primary role with the “Reds” that season was as the team’s Chief Scout, a role he kept until 2011. The position allowed Regan to evaluate talent from the collegiate to second division levels and put together scouting reports on TFC’s upcoming opposition.

Concurrent to that position, Regan also worked with U.S. Soccer as an assistant coach for the U.S. Under-17, U-18, & U-20 teams, eventually parlaying that into a Technical Advisor role with the Federation in 2011. Regan’s most recent role was with St. Louis Scott Gallagher club, where he served as the famed youth club’s Development Academy Director, with duties including coaching the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program’s U 17/18 squad that placed fifth in the USSDA national tournament this past summer.
